Congratulations to Morgan for Making the Top Ten at Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2007 in Orlando
Temperatures are hot but Morgan is staying cool. Check out the photos of Morgan on her way into the TOP TEN. She competed in Evening Wear on Tuesday, Active Wear on Wednesday and Talent on Thursday. Teen finals were on Saturday, August 11th and the new Miss America's Outstanding Teen is Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen, Caitlin Brunell.

Scholastic Honors:  A/B Honor Roll entire academic career; High Speech Award (Cornerstone Classical School) 2004; Enthusiastic Award (Cornerstone Classical School) 2003 and 2004

Leadership Roles:  Spanish/English translator for six community outreaches; Teaching assistant at Encore Performing Arts School; Made over thirty appearances as Miss Harvest Homecoming Outstanding Teen; Volunteer at a Nicaraguan orphanage twice a week for five months; Dance choreographer for third grade students at St. Mary’s of the Knobs

Accomplishments:  Invited as just one of fifteen youth nationwide to a Summer Intern Program in Buffalo, NY; Soloist with the Encore Youth Ballet; Performed in Music Theatre of Louisville’s and The American Dream Theatre’s professional productions of Brigadoon and A Child’s Christmas Carol; Nominated for Kohl’s Scholarship; Accepted into the Summer Intensive at the Louisville Ballet; Played roles in various productions including the hedgehog in Alice in Wonderland at the Louisville Ballet School and the cat (a principle) in the Ugly Duckling Ballet; Voted Miss Congeniality by Miss Harvest Homecoming Pageant contestants; Worked at a soup kitchen on Christmas Day

Interesting Facts: Underwent surgery as an infant in which my skull had to be removed, reshaped, and reattached as a result of a non-existent soft spot; First felt called to be a missionary at age ten; Lived in Nicaragua with my family for five months where I studied Nicaraguan Folklore and performed with local children; Experienced two earthquakes; My mother is a former Miss New Mexico who competed in the Miss America Pageant; Currently completing my eighth year of ballet; Have had four years of gymnastics training and four years each of tap and jazz; Traveled to Miami, FL to study dance at a summer intensive for a week last year; Went on a canopy tour in Nicaragua; I am a PK!

Employment:  Leader of day camps and assistant coach of a competitive gymnastics team at Southern Indiana Gymnastics School; Employee of Rising Star Talent Productions during their competitive season

Legacy:  I realize that winners have just one year to make a difference. During my reign I want to utilize every opportunity the crown has to offer so that when my year of service is over America will say, “WOW! Her dedication made the program meaningful and successful.”  My goal is to raise awareness of selflessness to help those in need.  Project Educate:  Changing Lives Through Education.
